George Santos is a former U.S. Representative from New York whose political rise became one of the most spectacular fraud-filled embarrassments in modern congressional history. He won office in 2022 before his biography, résumé, finances, and basic relationship with reality all started collapsing in public. After that, the plot basically became “what else did this guy make up,” followed by criminal charges, campaign finance sleaze, and a House expulsion that even Congress could not dodge forever. On Yeeted or Seated, Santos is the rare figure who made the institution itself look briefly capable of shame, which may be his weirdest achievement.
